MASSAGE THERAPY at Sutherland-Chan Clinic
Massage Therapists are Regulated Health Care Professionals governed by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).
You'll need to complete a confidential health history form. You can also book your appointment online and complete this form electronically prior to your arrival. Your therapist will review your health history and if you have a specific condition or concern, the intake process will involve some testing and assessment. This helps the massage therapist develop a treatment plan best suited to your needs.
During your massage therapy treatment you can expect to have your privacy respected. Your therapist will leave the room so that you may disrobe and cover yourself on the table. You may remove as little of your clothing as you wish. During the treatment, you will be draped with a blanket and sheet so that only the part of your body being treated is uncovered.

To help you unwind during your massage therapy treatment, we create a tranquil atmosphere in our massage rooms with soft lighting and calming music. Please inform your therapist if the music chosen is not conducive to relaxation.

Our regular therapy lotions and oils are listed here. Your clinician may use these lubricants or another type depending on the circumstance. Please inquire directly with your clinician if you require further information.
